Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will play a crucial role in providing high-quality behavioral therapy and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This position involves working closely with clients to implement care plans, assist in their daily activities, and promote their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health or special education and a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others. This is a after-school hours RBt/BT position.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist clients with daily living skills and promote independence through patient care techniques.
- Educate clients and their families on behavioral strategies and techniques to enhance learning and development.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Monitor client behavior and provide feedback to the supervising BCBA for ongoing assessment and adjustment of care plans.
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities that promote skill development and social interaction.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience in behavioral health, special education, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and the ability to assist clients effectively.
- Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
