Anchor Academic Center of Excellence, Inc. is a year-round private Christian K–12 school dedicated to serving students with complex physical disabilities and diverse needs. What You’ll Do
As a teacher at Anchor Academic Center of Excellence, you will play a vital role in shaping meaningful learning experiences for students by:
- Creating and implementing engaging lesson plans while exploring supplemental resources to enrich instruction.
- Establishing and communicating clear objectives for lessons, activities, and projects.
- Adapting teaching methods, materials, and specialized equipment to meet each student’s individual learning style and needs.
- Planning and leading educational classroom and outdoor activities that inspire curiosity and participation.
- Encouraging students to discover learning opportunities, daily living skills, and future career paths.
- Providing one-on-one support to students who need additional guidance and attention.
- Assessing, monitoring, and evaluating student academic progress.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with students, families, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Leading parent-teacher conferences and communicating student progress effectively.
- Creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Establishing and reinforcing classroom expectations and standards of conduct.
- Working independently while demonstrating initiative, confidence, and strong leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required
- 1+ years of teaching experience or 3+ years in a related field
- Teaching Certificate preferred
- Level II Background Clearance required https://info.flclearinghouse.com
- Full-time position
