Position Summary
MG Building Materials is seeking a dependable, hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving and organizing inventory, loading and unloading trucks, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are stored safely and efficiently. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and unload vendor deliveries.
- Load customer and company trucks safely and accurately.
- Learn and understand the company's Purchase Order (PO) system.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Keep track of inventory for:
- Doors,Windows,Molding,Cabinets,Lumber, etc.
- Building materials and related products
- Identify and locate products quickly and accurately.
- Read and understand product descriptions, item numbers, and specifications.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Work as a team to ensure timely receiving and shipping of materials.
- Assist customers and coworkers with loading materials as needed.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or building materials experience is a plus.
- Ability to learn inventory management and purchase order systems.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and identify building material products.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- Forklift experience is preferred (or willingness to become certified).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and forklifts.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 7:15 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday: Closed

Pay: $9.00 - $13.00 per hour
