Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to foster a motivated and skilled workforce.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met or exceeded.
- Manage inventory control by assisting with monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment for guests and staff.
- Utilize POS systems (Toast) for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy.
- Coordinate shift schedules, manage labor costs, and handle customer complaints or feedback promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Implement staff training programs focused on food handling, safety procedures, customer service excellence, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience within the hospitality or food industry; previous management or assistant manager roles preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices, inventory control techniques, and food production standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage conflict, and foster a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication skills with experience in staff training, interviewing candidates, and managing hospitality teams.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
