Job Overview:
As the General Manager, you will own full accountability for sales and operations across three business units: commercial tire service, wholesale distribution, and retread manufacturing. You will carry complete P&L responsibility, set sales objectives and productivity benchmarks, oversee purchasing and vendor negotiations, manage pricing strategy, and ensure inventory and operational performance across all departments. With approximately 100 direct reports, this is a hands-on leadership role, not a desk job. You will be present in the stores, in the retread plant, and on the floor alongside your teams.
You will develop and execute strategic business plans to drive market expansion and customer retention, build and maintain relationships with commercial fleet customers, wholesale accounts, and key vendor partners, and analyze tire program performance, rebates, and supplier agreements to protect margins. You will also oversee workforce planning, onboarding, coaching, and performance management across all operational and sales functions, and coordinate cross-functional communication to keep the business running at full speed.
Background Profile:
- 10+ years of experience in tire industry operations, including store management and oversight of operational teams
- 3+ years of commercial truck tire sales experience, with working knowledge of major brand programs, price sheets, and the commercial selling process
- Direct experience overseeing or working within a retread operation
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience in Sales Management, Store Management, Production, Warehousing, and Purchasing considered
Benefits, Compensation, & Features:
- Base salary: $170,000 - $215,000 plus bonus
