The Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all stages of personal injury cases, including car accidents, construction accidents, slip and falls, workplace accidents, and wrongful death cases.
- Serve as a key client liaison, handling regular communications and developing trust relationships
- Draft, prepare, and e-file litigation documents, including complaints, answers, discovery requests and responses, motions, briefs, and pre-trial documents
- Manage all aspects of discovery, including propounding and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
- Organize and analyze complex medical records, accident reports, and expert reports for use in litigation
- Prepare comprehensive deposition summaries and organize exhibits for depositions
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
- Maintain litigation calendars and ensure strict compliance with court deadlines and rules of civil procedure
- Communicate with opposing counsel, courts, and vendors regarding litigation matters
- Prepare trial notebooks, witness lists, exhibit lists, and trial materials
- Coordinate with expert witnesses and manage expert discovery
- Extensive use of Smart Advocate, Case Status, Microsoft Office, and various other software platforms
- Maintain accurate litigation files and case documentation
- Conduct legal and factual research specific to pending litigation matters
Ideal Qualifications:
- Exceptional organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple priorities
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in the utilization of artificial intelligence LLMs and software platforms
- Experience in personal injury litigation is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to client advocacy and empathetic service
