Innovative Emergency Equipment is a growing manufacturing company in Riverside, CA specializing in emergency vehicle storage systems, command centers, drawer systems, and related equipment. We are seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to support our manufacturing operation by managing the purchasing and replenishment of standard stocked components, hardware, consumables, coatings, and production supplies.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for helping ensure materials are available to support production by monitoring inventory levels, issuing purchase orders, releasing blanket orders, following up with vendors, and maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory records. The ideal candidate has prior manufacturing, purchasing and inventory experience and is comfortable working with repeat stocked parts in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder standard stocked parts, hardware, consumables, and production supplies
- Create and issue purchase orders for repeat-use components and shop materials
- Manage blanket purchase orders and track open PO status
- Follow up with vendors on pricing, acknowledgements, ship dates, shortages, and back orders
- Maintain reorder points, vendor information, lead times, and item records
- Work closely with logistics, warehouse, and production teams to prevent material shortages
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and reconciliation of discrepancies
- Support purchasing items such as slides, hinges, latches, fasteners, handles, coatings, consumables, and general production supplies
- help implementation of a cycle counting policy and help develop cycle counting method to ensure accurate inventory.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of purchasing, buying, inventory coordination, or materials experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with repeat stocked parts, purchase orders, vendor follow-up, and inventory replenishment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and ERP/accounting/inventory systems
- Experience in fabrication, industrial manufacturing, vehicle equipment, or similar environments is a plus

Marketing experience, internships, freelance work, or college projects encouraged.
Experience with website design and maintenance (WordPress or similar preferred).
Ability to create social media content, videos, brochures, flyers, and other marketing materials.
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
Strong writing, communication, organization, and time management skills.
Photography, video editing, SEO, and email marketing are a plus.
