The General Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of an indoor playcenter, ensuring a safe, clean, fun environment for guests and staff. This role oversees team leadership, customer experience, revenue performance, and operational excellence across all areas including admissions, concessions, parties, and facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the facility, including opening and closing procedures
- Monitor and enforce safety policies
- Maintain compliance with local health, safety, and fire regulations
- Recruit, hire, train, and schedule staff
- Supervise and coach team members to deliver excellent customer service
- Create a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
- Handle employee performance, feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed
- Ensure every guest has a welcoming, fun, and safe experience
- Resolve customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally
- Drive revenue through admissions, memberships, concessions, and party bookings
- Identify opportunities to improve sales, upselling, and efficiency
- Assist with promotions, events, and community outreach
- Manage labor costs, scheduling efficiency, and operating expenses
- Handle cash management, deposits, and basic financial reporting
- Track inventory for concessions and supplies
- Ensure equipment is regularly inspected and maintained
- Maintain overall cleanliness and presentation of the facility
Qualifications
- 2+ years of management experience (retail, hospitality, family entertainment, or similar preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and sales tracking
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a loud, high-energy environment
