Dearborn, Inc. is a highly specialized precision machining company that has been in business for more than 50 years and anticipates significant growth in the coming years. We are continually developing our ID machining and CNC capabilities to provide customers with finished precision parts. Machining services are provided for numerous industries including: Nuclear, Aerospace, Paper, Plastics, Medical and Steel.
Position:
We are looking for an individual that has Project Manager practical experience to join our production planning team. This person hired will be responsible for learning aspects of each job including but not limited to the following: Developing a manufacturing plan, Tooling selection, Engineering issues, Drawing interpretation, Creating process drawings, working with outside vendors, reviewing job costs, etc. Must be willing to work on the shop floor to become familiar with the services we offer and to gain a better understanding of how products flow through our facility.
Skills:
- Familiar with a variety of mechanical inspection gages
- Need to be a “hands on” person
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- AutoCAD experience required
- Good mathematical / computer skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to Design/Engineer machine fixtures and components
- Cost review of projects and jobs during / after completion that they are assigned
- Recommend any machining process improvements on assigned jobs.
Experience:
Minimum one year of experience working in a machining environment
Desired Attributes:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
- Good interpersonal skills
