Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure seamless restaurant operations. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests with enthusiasm, and coordinating table assignments to optimize guest experience. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service
- Manage restaurant reservations and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently
- Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries
- Maintain accurate restaurant table management through Toast POS system
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest flow
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback with professionalism and hospitality-focused communication skills
- Uphold food safety standards by adhering to sanitation and cleanliness protocols in the host station
- Support guest relations by creating a welcoming environment and addressing any concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service experience preferred, demonstrating strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling tables, wait times, and billing procedures when necessary
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Prior experience in restaurant or guest services roles is a plus
