Job Summary:
The Production Maintenance Mechanic I role is available for a qualified individual with proven maintenance skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Efficient preventative maintenance and repair of food manufacturing and packaging equipment, including Aseptic Fillers, Cappers, Packer and/or High Temperature Processing (HTP) equipment.
- Ability to execute preventative, corrective and breakdown work orders under direction of a Level II or III, Lead or Supervisor.
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Performs planned, corrective, and unplanned maintenance on specified equipment.
- Ability to read and understand Maintenance Manuals for proper repair and care.
- Capable of effectively supporting more senior mechanics in complex repairs or services.
- Protect Company assets by the direct intervention of any condition resulting in the abuse of equipment or buildings.
- General computer skills.
- Enters time, parts and follows up into CMMS System.
- Remain current on all Alchemy, Food Safety and Package Integrity Training as directed.
- Skilled in the use of, and possession of, hand and power tools.
- Executes the preventive maintenance program as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
- Wears PPE and adheres to all Food Safety requirements.
- Strictly adheres to all Safety requirements and maintains safety training records.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ensure safety in the workplace by eliminating unsafe conditions.
- Maintains communication (oral and written) within the maintenance team to ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Other duties, as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in industrial maintenance and or job-related vocational/technical degree.
- Experience with PLCs, robotics, and / or electrical troubleshooting.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Excel, CMMS, and other data reporting systems.
- Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry.

Additional Considerations:
- Location: This role is at our plant in Omak, WA.
- Day Shift position. Some flexibility may be needed on occasion.
- Pay Rate: Pay starts at $32.65/hour.
