Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate mental health clinicians to join our team (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, ASW, AMFT). The ideal candidate will have experience working with geriatric patients, providing therapeutic support at various skilled nursing facilities. This role is essential in helping clients navigate their challenges through evidence-based practices and interventions.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, and group sessions utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and behavioral therapy.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals in the healthcare system to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Offer counseling services related to addiction, addressing both the individual and group dynamics involved.
- Stay informed about psychopharmacology to effectively support clients who may be prescribed medication as part of their treatment plan.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills in child family counseling and other relevant areas.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Experience working with geriatrics is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques and behavioral therapy practices.
- Familiarity with addiction counseling principles and systems approach to treatment.
- Strong skills in medical documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology as it relates to mental health treatment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
