Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Full-Time Janitor/Custodian to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our school campus. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is reliable, and understands the importance of keeping a school environment sanitary and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Clean classrooms, offices, bathrooms, hallways, cafeteria areas, and common spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces daily
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Clean and disinfect restrooms throughout the day as needed
- Refill soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other supplies
- Assist with setting up and cleaning up after school events
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or needed repairs
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment responsibly
- Follow school safety, sanitation, and security procedures
- Perform other custodial duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred
- Must be dependable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and move throughout the workday
- Must maintain a professional and respectful attitude in a school environment
- Background check required
