Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings. This role requires proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes for patients.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV infusions and injections.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in critical care, emergency medicine, and acute care settings.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for patient management.
- Participate in triage, discharge planning, and case management activities.
- Implement infection control measures and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience in acute care, critical care, or emergency settings preferred; Level I or II trauma center experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and CPT coding.
- Proficiency in performing procedures such as suturing, catheterization, venipuncture, and specimen collection/processing.
- Knowledge of chronic disease management including diabetes, hypertension, and pain management.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Previous experience with home care or hospice & palliative medicine is advantageous. Candidates who possess additional skills such as botulinum toxin treatment, esthetic laser treatment, or experience in specialized areas like ophthalmology or behavioral health will be highly regarded.
