Position Overview
As an Orthodontic Clinical Assistant, you will work directly with the orthodontist and clinical team to deliver exceptional patient care while keeping the clinic efficient and organized.
This role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment..
Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure comfort throughout their visit
- Take diagnostic records (digital impressions, photos, X-rays as certified)
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
- Maintain accurate, compliant patient records
- Follow sterilization and infection control protocols
- Manage clinical inventory and maintain organized workspaces
- Communicate clearly with patients, parents, and team members
Qualifications
- Dental or orthodontic assisting experience preferred (we will train the right candidate)
- Required state certifications (Radiograph Certification, CPR, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and organization
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Desire to grow within a thriving practice
