**Position Overview: Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Preference for Nurse Practitioners (NPs)**
**Reason for Coverage:** Due to a provider shortage and an increase in patient volume.
**Coverage Duration:** Immediate start for 3 months, with the potential for extension.
**Practice Setting:** Outpatient clinic. **Work Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
**Daily Responsibilities:** The primary focus will be on gynecological cases, with the possibility of managing obstetric patients depending on scheduling needs. The role will involve well-woman visits and some telehealth appointments. Candidates must possess strong gynecological experience, including a comfort level with performing ultrasounds and dating pregnancies up to 8 weeks.
Proficiency in managing preventive gynecological screenings, abnormal menstrual bleeding, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), Bartholin duct abscesses, and Pap smears is essential.
**Call Coverage:** No on-call responsibilities.
**Patient Volume:** Estimated patient load consists of 12-13 scheduled patients in the morning and another 12-13 in the afternoon, totaling approximately 20-24 patients per day.
**Staffing Structure:** The clinic is supported by a full complement of RN staff and licensed vocational nurses (LVNs), with a supervising physician available on-site.
**Electronic Medical Records System:** EPIC.
**Certification Requirements:** Candidates must be board-certified and hold AHA BLS certification.
