Overview
The role of a Service Advisor involves being the main point of contact for customers requiring tire services services. The Service Advisor will assist in the direct supervision and coordination of the activities of all Commercial and OTR technicians. You will be responsible for understanding their needs, explaining the services available, and ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards. A successful Service Advisor combines strong customer service skills with a deep technical understanding of tire maintenance and repairs. Your ability to communicate effectively and build trusting relationships with customers will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
· Ensure paperwork is prepared for technicians immediately at the beginning of the shift to ensure proper roll times.
· Ensure all paperwork is properly filled out, updated, completed, and closed according to Best-One and customer standards; mileage, hours, unit #, PO, etc.
· Answer phones and greet and assist customers in a respectful and timely manner.
· Monitor technician’s workflow and proper maintaining of tools and equipment.
- Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs to customers.
- Prepare accurate service estimates and invoices for customers.
- Maintain customer records and follow up on service recommendations.
- Promote additional services and products to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
