The Cashier works primarily handling cash and credit card transactions from customers. He/she ensures that prices and quantities are accurate for all products and responds to complaints, process refunds or exchanges of items.
RESPONSIBILITIES Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Operates a cash register, receives payments of cash and charges from customers or employees for goods.
- Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times.

Maintains proper security of cash at all times.

Understands and follows cash-handling policies and procedures.

Sets up and stocks the beverage area, grab and go items, service ware and condiments or other assigned areas.

Cleans and sanitizes workstations, counters, steam tables and other equipment.

Welcomes customers, answers questions, helps locate items, and provides advice or recommendations if necessary.

Balances the cash register and generates reports for credit and debit sales.

Alerts the manager of refund and exchange requests, and complaints.

Sets up, serves, and restocks coffee.

Maintains the cleanliness of the tables, chairs, in dining area.

Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Customer service or cashier experience preferred.

Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly is required.

High level of energy with strong customer service skills is needed.

Basic math and computer skills are necessary.

Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.

Must have great attention to detail.

Must be helpful, have a courteous approach to resolving complaints.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools. Ability to stand in one place for hours at a time, handle extreme heat and work shifts. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
