Family Law Paralegal
Position Summary
Martino Law Group is seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to support our attorneys in all aspects of domestic relations litigation and client representation. This position plays a critical role in guiding clients through some of the most important and emotionally sensitive legal matters of their lives while ensuring exceptional client service and operational excellence.

- Maintain accurate case files with minimal supervision.
- Meet all court filing deadlines.
- Deliver exceptional client communication and responsiveness.

- Support attorneys in achieving efficient case progression.
- Demonstrate mastery of firm procedures and Massachusetts family law processes.
Primary Responsibilities
Case Management
- Manage an active caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical client files.
- Monitor court deadlines, hearings, discovery schedules, and filing requirements.
- Coordinate attorney calendars and litigation timelines.
- Track case progress and proactively identify upcoming action items.
Client Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for family law clients.
- Conduct client intake interviews and gather relevant information.
- Provide regular case status updates under attorney supervision.
- Schedule client meetings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances.
- Maintain professionalism and empathy when communicating with clients experiencing difficult family situations.
Legal Document Preparation
Prepare and draft, under attorney supervision:
- Complaints for Divorce
- Joint Petitions for Divorce
- Complaints for Modification
- Complaints for Contempt
- Parenting Plans
- Separation Agreements
- Financial Statements
- Child Support Guidelines Worksheets
- Discovery Requests and Responses
- Interrogatories
- Requests for Production
- Subpoenas
- Motions and Supporting Affidavits
- Notices of Hearing
- Proposed Orders
- Settlement Agreements
- Trial notebooks and exhibit binders
Discovery & Trial Preparation
- Organize exhibits and evidence.
- Review financial records and supporting documentation.
- Summarize discovery responses.
- Prepare witness and exhibit lists.
- Assist attorneys during mediation and trial preparation.
- Coordinate expert witnesses when applicable.
Court Filing
- File pleadings electronically through Massachusetts eFileMA.
- Coordinate service of process.
- Obtain certified court documents.
- Monitor docket activity.
- Ensure compliance with Massachusetts Probate and Family Court procedures.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain attorney calendars.
- Coordinate meetings.
- Process incoming legal correspondence.
- Maintain accurate billing entries and time records.
- Assist with client invoicing.
- Support overall office operations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred, not required
- Minimum 3 years of family law paralegal experience prefered not required.
- Experience with Massachusetts Probate & Family Court procedures strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using legal case management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
