Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Truck Driver with Class A CDL. Driver local to Midland area wanted
Yard is in midland, all work is local to the area, home every night, days start at 7 AM, usually off by 6 pm. Most weeks will require you to be on duty 5 or 6 days a week. Never 7 days a week.
You’ll be hauling heavy equipment (primarily manlifts and forklifts) to construction and oilfield locations.
Must be able to pass pre employment and ongoing random DOT drug tests
Trucks are automatic transmission.
You will get overtime. Typical week is 50hrs.
No on call, no overnight runs, no middle of the night call outs.
Pay is hourly with overtime, $26 - $32 depending on experience.
Duties
- Safely operate a semi truck in town and on oilfield location
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- operate Manlifts and forklifts
- Secure cargo properly on flatbeds or other trailers to prevent shifting during transit.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including hours of service rules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks preferred.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures and freight handling equipment such as forklifts and manlifts is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation.
- Excellent navigation skills for efficient route planning
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy. This position is ideal for experienced drivers seeking local work with consistent hours
