Summary Job description: Assemble precision mechanical positioners for sub-micron applications - Assemble and solder associated electronics (PCB assemblies into enclosures, wiring harnesses, etc.) This is a day shift. The initial start time will be 8:00 a.m. for 30 to 60 days of training, then the employee will have the option to start their shift as early as 6:45 a.m. Only local candidates with a minimum of three years of relevant experience will be considered. We drug-test all new employees.
Desired Skills: - Desired Skills: - Good hand-eye coordination and basic mechanical aptitude - Attention to detail and commitment to quality – Basic soldering skills, ability to work safely with standard hand tools. Must be extremely detail-oriented and motivated to work at the highest production standards
Specific Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
- Perform basic soldering of electronic components and wiring (connector soldering, etc.)
- Properly and safely use all standard hand tools, including screw drivers, wrenches, and crimpers for contacts as small as 1mm
- Fasten cables and wiring
- Position and fasten units to assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Assist with rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
- Inspect and test completed units for mechanical reliability
- Help with prototyping of new parts
- Use calipers and micrometers to measure parts and determine tolerances.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
