FLORAL DESIGNER Required Skills
- Knowledge of both blooming and green plants as well as fresh cut flowers
- Customer Service skills
- 3 Years Floral Design Experience
FLORAL DESIGNER Job Duties and Tasks
1. Listen to customer needs to design floral arrangements that meet both their design specifications and budget
2. Fulfill customer orders including corsages, wedding work, original designs and European gardens
3. Care for plants and flowers by maintaining the optimum conditions for their care
4. Anticipate customer demand and adjust ordering appropriately
5. Order and purchase flowers and plants from wholesalers and growers
6. Design and price arrangements for display
7. Perform various customer service duties, including answering telephones, selling giftware items, handling customer inquiries and complaints.
8. Conduct or assist in classes offered through floral department
9. Create, maintain and seasonally change in-store displays, designs, and overall look of department.
10. Perform general cleaning duties to ensure a clean and tidy environment
11. Track sales, purchases, inventories and shrink
