Job Description:
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for performing various machine tool operations to produce machined parts of standard and custom products as manufactured by Moline Machinery. This position is for
an individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines and various machine shop tools.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform routine inspections and ensure quality control standards are maintained.
- Maintain machine tools including press brake machines, stamping presses, and fabrication equipment like welding tools and hand tools.
- Handle materials safely within the manufacturing facility.
- Modify or create CNC programs using programming software and G&M codes.
- Support the Engineering and Production teams as required.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in machine technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and a willingness to learn new software.
- Ability to use manual machine tools and CNC-controlled machines.
- Ability to perform machine tool maintenance as needed.
- Communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining operations and factory equipment maintenance.
Wage Range:
- $22.76 - $30.34+ depending on experience, skills, and qualifications
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Work is performed on the shop floor.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent use of the phone and computer.
- High attention to detail is required.
- Occasional travel may be necessary.
