About the Role:
Oak Lane Schools Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced Lower School Director to lead and inspire our youngest learners in Philadelphia, PA. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the educational foundation of a vibrant school community while guiding a dedicated team of educators committed to student success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership and day-to-day administrative oversight of all lower school programs and operations
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate lower school faculty and staff to foster professional growth and instructional excellence
- Develop and implement curriculum aligned with best practices in early childhood and elementary education
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and the broader school community
- Monitor student progress and implement support strategies to ensure academic and social-emotional development
- Collaborate with school leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and policy development
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all lower school students
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in elementary or lower school administration or leadership
- Strong background in early childhood and elementary curriculum development and instruction
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teaching staff effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families, staff, and students
- Experience with student assessment, data-driven instruction, and academic programming
- Passionate, collaborative, and student-centered leadership style
