Responsibilities

- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards in production.
- Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure safety standards are met.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and timely service delivery.
- Support the cleaning process by sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly throughout shifts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a focus on food preparation and cooking.
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining efficiency under pressure.
- Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and team members.
