We’re a dynamic neurology/brain health practice in Boca Raton, FL, located on FAU's campus, seeking a motivated and aspiring healthcare professional to join our front desk team. This role is ideal for someone interested in pursuing a career in medicine—such as pre-med, pre-Physician Assistant, pre-Nurse Practitioner, or other healthcare-focused paths—who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a startup-style medical setting. This position will provide exposure to neurology, patient care, and a collaborative team environment, offering valuable experience for those planning to further their medical education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interact effectively, supportively with staff & maintain a professional working relationship.
- Provide excellent customer service; greet & receive patients/ visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain professional and excellent phone skills & etiquette, must be able to speak clearly and concisely.
- Help with insurance eligibility verification and new patient registration.
- Use good judgment & maintain patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience as an MA is a plus but not required. As a small office, we like our staff to be able to fill in with other roles when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare, such as med school, PA school, NP school, or nursing school is strongly preferred.
- A strong aptitude for learning, high attention to detail, and a proactive, "go-getter" attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to adapt in a startup-style medical environment, with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
