Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team on the 1st shift. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing inbound and outbound shipments, operating various types of forklifts, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. Your expertise will help maintain smooth warehouse operations, support shipping logistics, and uphold trade compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Prepare, stage, and ship customer orders accurately and on time.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move raw materials and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks manually or using material handling equipment.
- Organize, store, and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Create and maintain receiving documentation, labels, and inventory records.
- Perform inventory transactions and support cycle counts.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Support the Shipping & Receiving team with daily warehouse operations.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations.
- Previous forklift experience (Forklift Certification is an asset).
- Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse procedures.
- Experience working with ERP or warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
