- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging independence and dignity.
- Support with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning as directed in the care plan.
- Help with reminders for medications, appointments, and daily routines, as permitted by policy and care guidelines.
- Observe and report changes in client condition, needs, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor or care team.
- Follow individualized care plans, agency policies, and all applicable safety and confidentiality guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, as required.
- Prior experience in home care, personal care, or a related support role is preferred.
- Completion of required training, certification, or state-approved coursework may be required based on assignment and location.
- Ability to provide respectful, patient, and dependable care.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions and care plans.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with personal care and household assistance.
