Position Overview: The Senior Piercer will be responsible for performing high-quality piercings using needle techniques, working with fine and threadless jewelry, and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and customer care. This role requires a professional with extensive experience in the piercing industry, strong knowledge of health and safety protocols, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a luxury setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform needle piercings with precision and care, using threadless and fine jewelry.
- Maintain the highest standards of sterilization and sanitation, including the use of autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, Blood-borne Pathogens standards, and local piercing law requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with First Aid, CPR, and relevant certifications, ensuring all practices are aligned with the latest industry standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring each client has a personalized and luxurious experience from consultation to aftercare.
- Educate clients on aftercare procedures and ensure they have a full understanding of the healing process.
- Stay informed about local market regulations and ensure all necessary permits and registrations are maintained.
- Collaborate with the studio team to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Participate in product sales, leveraging your knowledge of the jewelry to assist clients in selecting the perfect pieces for their piercings.
- Contribute to the studio’s growth by participating in events, promotions, and other marketing activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with needle piercing in a professional setting.
- Extensive experience working with threadless piercing jewelry and fine jewelry.
- Up-to-date First Aid & Blood-borne Pathogens OSHA certifications.
- Experience with autoclaves, sterilization, and sanitation processes in a busy piercing studio.
- Ability to register with local law enforcement or meet area-specific requirements for permits such as Practitioner Registration, Blood-borne Pathogens, First Aid/CPR, and vaccination requirements.
- Strong understanding of local market piercing law requirements.
- Demonstrated understanding of service excellence in a consumer environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
