Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally, adhering to all food safety and handling standards
- Clear tables promptly and assist with bussing to maintain a clean and inviting dining area
- Replenish supplies such as utensils, napkins, and condiments to ensure seamless service throughout the event
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators to meet guest needs and accommodate special requests
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including catering options and beverage selections like coffee or specialty drinks
- Support setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and serving stations
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is highly preferred
- Strong guest services skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and proper serving techniques
- Experience in banquet or catering service environments is advantageous
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for effective guest relations and teamwork
- Familiarity with restaurant operations or hotel service standards enhances performance in this role
