This direct hire opportunity is for a Production Pharmacy Technician role in a closed-door Long-Term Care facility located in Bardonia, New York. The position operates on the day shift, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with rotating weekends. The pharmacy processes approximately 600 prescriptions daily, utilizing the Frameworks software system, with training provided as needed.
Responsibilities include preparing medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose formats to ensure timely delivery to residents. The technician will assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while maintaining proper storage and monitoring expiration dates. Precise documentation of patient and medication records is also an essential part of the role.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience
- NY State pharmacy technician license preferred but not required
- PTCB certification preferred but not required
- Ability to learn and work within the Frameworks software system
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Rotating weekends
This role offers a starting pay of $18/hour for non-certified technicians, with certified pharmacy technicians earning between $19-$20/hour.
