The Commercial Truck Sales Consultant at Hawthorne Chevrolet is responsible for selling new and pre-owned commercial vehicles, focusing on corporate fleet accounts and individual commercial customers. The role emphasizes providing outstanding customer experience, utilizing strong interpersonal skills and product knowledge to assist customers in selecting vehicles that meet their business needs. The consultant will also engage in market analysis and prospecting to drive sales and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Sell new and pre-owned commercial vehicles to corporate fleet accounts and individual customers.
- Analyze the market and suggest strategies to generate profits and sales.
- Provide outstanding brand and customer experience through excellent preparation and teamwork.
- Assist customers in selecting and ordering commercial vehicles based on their business needs.
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting vehicle sales.
- Prospect for new and used commercial vehicle customers daily through calls and visits.
- Cold call new customers to increase monthly sales.
- Sell all aspects of the dealership, including Sales, Parts, Collision, and Service.
- Manage the dealership's Sprinter and Metris inventory and inventory turn cycles.
- Prepare and provide the General Sales Manager with outside call reports and listings of prospects.
- Provide follow-up and ongoing service to the existing customer base.
- Demonstrate new and used vans to customers, including test drives.
- Ensure accurate sales orders, secure deposits, and process paperwork according to dealership policies.
- Attend sales and training meetings as required.
- Study vehicle specifications to improve product knowledge continually.
- Appraise used vehicles when necessary.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds or other automotive software is a plus.
- General knowledge of processes, software, costs, and techniques for maximum efficiency..
