Seeking applicants to join the coaching staff in the role of Varsity Girls Volleyball Head Coach
Start Date: August 2026; Season runs August through October
The ideal candidate has experience coaching and/or playing volleyball and has prior experience coaching at the JV or Varsity level. The person in this position will be responsible for the day-to-day responsibilities of running a volleyball program, including, but not limited to, daily practice planning, preparation for games, communication with families, and out-of-season training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Educator mindset. We strive to use athletics at Gaston Day to teach our student-athletes life lessons through sports.
● Ability to communicate effectively and interact with all program stakeholders (student-athletes, parents, etc.).
● Organize and lead daily practices to develop players technically, cerebrally, and physically.
● Oversee and manage coaching staff, including Varsity assistant coaches, as well as connect with JV and Middle School coaches to ensure full program cohesion
● Ability to drive a non-CDL bus to transport the team to away games.
● CPR/AED/First Aid certification

Reporting: This position reports to the Director of Athletics.
