Senior Estimator is a highly technical position with the responsibility of producing, reviewing, overseeing all scopes of work. This is an interactive position working with multiple departments to drive accurate, efficient, and competitive scope of works for both residential and commercial projects. Most responsibilities for Senior Estimator will be in office utilizing Xactimate software.
Job Duties include:
- Organize, research and plan accurate estimates and scope of works for project managers, sales, senior leaders, executive staff, and others
- Review scope notes and plans to determine specifications for projects
- Understand and apply constructive project knowledge and costing
- Establish bid/estimate strategies
- Monitor/review estimates/scopes of work
- Establish general conditions for project scopes and schedule
- Track completed and awarded projects
- Improve estimating/scope process efficiencies
- Assist in project budgeting
- Work regularly with billing administrators
- Work regularly with construction department
- Work regularly with restoration department
- Ability to remain steady and team oriented to collaborate with staff members on project specifics
- Other duties as needed and/or requested
Qualifications
- Technically proficient in Xactimate software
- Possess basic to expert knowledge in construction
- Possess basic to expert knowledge in restoration / mitigation
- Be an organized and detailed professional
- Proficient software/program skills
- Team oriented with ability to train/learn from others
- Self-motivated to complete all tasks on time
