Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Youth Program Facilitator to lead engaging activities and foster a positive environment for children and teenagers. In this role, you will plan, organize, and supervise youth programs that promote development, teamwork, and fun. Your enthusiasm and leadership will inspire young participants to explore new interests, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. Duties
- Lead engaging social-emotional learning activities for school-aged youth
- Foster self-esteem, emotional growth, and conflict resolution skills
- Plan and facilitate youth programs and community events
- Maintain attendance records and program documentation
- Collaborate with families, schools, and community partners
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development for children and teens
- Facilitate youth group activities, including games, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and educational projects
- Ensure the safety of all participants by supervising activities closely and adhering to child supervision protocols
- Manage behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create an inclusive and respectful atmosphere
- Maintain a clean, organized activity space and ensure all equipment is used safely and responsibly
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and team members regarding program updates or participant needs
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred.
- At least one year related experience required, preferable working with youth development, public schools, and/or community services in urban areas.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Background in special education or childhood development is a plus
- Strong team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage young participants
- Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude towards youth development programs
- Ability to work well with participants, families, teachers, community leaders, and other agencies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organzational skills and time management.
