Job Summary
Join our locally owned, team‑focused auto repair shop. We’re looking for an upbeat, tech‑savvy Front Desk Receptionist who is eager to help our customers and team. If you love a fast‑paced atmosphere and enjoy connecting with people, this role is a great fit! Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers on the phone with warmth and professionalism
- Make outbound calls to follow up on service and other necessary customer communications
- Provide personal assistant support as needed to help maintain smooth office operations
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and efficiency
- Accurately schedule service appointments based on technician availability and required repair times
- Monitor service capacity throughout the day to avoid overbooking or service delays
- Conduct preliminary customer needs assessments to determine appropriate services (e.g., diagnostics, maintenance, recalls)
- Communicate clearly with service advisors, technicians, and parts department to coordinate workflow
- Work with service writer to confirm parts availability for certain repairs prior to booking appointments
- Enter detailed and accurate notes in the management system or CRM
- Handle rescheduling and cancellations while minimizing schedule disruptions
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in the automotive industry
- Positive, energetic demeanor during high call volume periods
- Comfortable with technology and able to learn new software quickly
- Able to handle continuous phone communication throughout the day
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
- Strong work ethic with a drive to exceed performance and appointment conversion goals
- Ability to collaborate with service advisors, parts department, and management
- Good at conflict resolution and problem solving
- Prior experience in automotive service or customer service roles is a plus
