Kaemark is seeking an entry-level Purchasing Data Analyst to join our Supply Chain team. This role exists at the intersection of data analysis and purchasing operations — you won't just be building reports, you'll be analyzing ERP data, identifying demand signals, and delivering clear purchasing recommendations that keep our production floor running and our inventory aligned across domestic and international supply chains.
The ideal candidate is analytically sharp, comfortable working directly in ERP data, and confident translating data into defensible recommendations. You'll work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to reduce decision latency, prevent shortages, and drive cost-effective inventory positions. This is an on-site role, working at our manufacturing and warehouse facilities in Giddings TX.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing Analysis & Recommendations
- Analyze domestic and international purchasing needs using ERP data and demand signals, and provide clear, data-backed purchasing recommendations
- Review and analyze data shop floor material request forms on a weekly basis and provide purchasing recommendations to Purchasing Clerk
- Monitor open PO status, expedites, and delivery date accuracy in Business Central and flag discrepancies or risks
- Interpret MRP/MPS demand signals and translate planning outputs into actionable purchasing recommendations for review and approval
- Coordinate with the Global Sourcing Manager on lead times, shipment schedules, and documentation requirements
- Collaborate with master data management to ensure that all the information required to make data-driven purchasing decisions exists and is accurate in ERP system
Shortage Monitoring & Risk Management
- Proactively identify potential shortages using ERP data, on-hand inventory levels, and demand signals
- Build and maintain shortage tracking visibility tools to surface risks before they impact production
- Escalate critical shortages with data-backed urgency and recommended resolution paths
- Track supplier on-time delivery performance and flag recurring risks
- Partner with warehouse and material handling personnel to ensure adherence to cycle count programs to ensure inventory accuracy in the ERP
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze purchasing data from Business Central to support decisions on order quantities, timing, and sourcing
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and Excel-based tools to support purchasing visibility and decision-making
- Identify trends in spend, lead times, supplier performance, and inventory positioning
- Support the Supply Chain Manager with ad hoc analysis for vendor negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and planning cycles
- Maintain clean and accurate purchasing master data including vendor records, item costs, and lead times
Process & Collaboration
- Collaborate with production planning, operations, and finance to align purchasing activity with production schedules and cash flow targets
- Maintain accurate item, vendor, and PO data within Business Central
- Document purchasing processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial distribution, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain analysis in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Hands-on experience working with ERP data — extracting, interpreting, and acting on it (Business Central experience strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Power Query, structured tables, and modern formulas (XLOOKUP, dynamic arrays, Index/Match)
- Demonstrated ability to make data-driven purchasing decisions independently within defined guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities without losing track of open items
- Clear and professional communication — you'll interact with domestic vendors and international suppliers
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI for reporting and dashboard development
- Exposure to international purchasing workflows including documentation, freight terms, and customs considerations
- Understanding of MRP/MPS planning logic and how demand signals flow through an ERP system
- Experience in custom manufacturing, millwork, cabinetry, or a similarly configured-to-order environment is a plus

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
