Pike County Environmental Enterprises is a septage treatment facility located in Matamoras PA. It exclusively treats residential septage and municipal wastewater solids hauled in by trucks from PA, NJ, and NY. The plant then discharges the treated outflow into the Delaware River.
Pike County Environmental is looking for a part-time plant worker.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance – scrubbing and hosing down treatment unit tanks, scraping clarifiers, cleaning filter beds.
- Collection System Upkeep – clean and inspect sewer lines.
- Grounds an Equipment Care – Performing general building and grounds maintenance. Mowing grass, removing snow/ice, washing plant vehicles and general clean up of space.
- Assist Operations – Help the plant with daily routines such as collecting wastewater samples, adding chemicals, or performing mechanical repairs.
Position Qualifications:
- Candidates must have general knowledge of the wastewater treatment plant process
- Must be willing to work on the weekend
- Must be able to work well independently and/or within a team
Schedule:
Monday through Saturday.
Varying shifts time between 7am - 9pm
