Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages professionally, including drink service and food handling with a focus on sanitation standards
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transaction processing
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold food safety and sanitation standards
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage seating arrangements and optimize guest flow
- Demonstrate extensive beverage knowledge including spirits experience, wine expertise, and cocktail preparation to elevate the guest experience
- Engage with guests to foster positive relations, handle inquiries or concerns promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction at all times
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
- Proven ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining high-quality service standards
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest enjoyment
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and strong communication abilities
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately along with basic math skills for billing purposes
- Background in hospitality or restaurant roles such as host/hostess or cashier is advantageous
