Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Wide Format Digital Print Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various printing techniques and a keen eye for detail. As a Print Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing equipment, ensuring high-quality output while adhering to production schedules. Your expertise in color management, prepress processes, and graphic design will be essential in delivering exceptional print products.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain printing equipment, including screen printing and Direct to Film machines.
- Prepare files for print through prepress processes, ensuring proper layout design and typography.
- Monitor print quality throughout the production process, performing quality control checks to meet standards.
- Collaborate with the graphic design team to ensure accurate color management and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the printing process, making necessary adjustments to machinery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in training new staff on equipment operation and best practices in print production.
Skills
- Proficiency in Wide Format Inkjet printing techniques and pnuematic press operation.
- Strong understanding of prepress processes and quality control measures.
- Experience with color management systems and graphic design principles.
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop / Corel Draw for file preparation and editing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to print production.
- Experience with machining processes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on typography and layout design.
