Vending Machine Technician Position Summary
SIMPLYSNACK Delights LLC is seeking a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Vending Machine Technician to join our growing field service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing vending machines, smart coolers, and micro-market equipment across various customer locations throughout the Houston area.
Your expertise will help ensure our vending solutions operate efficiently and provide an exceptional experience for our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and customer service skills in a fast-paced and growing company.
ResponsibilitiesEquipment Installation & Setup
- Install vending machines, smart coolers, and micro-market equipment according to company and manufacturer specifications.
- Configure card readers, cashless payment systems, telemetry devices, and remote monitoring equipment.
- Assemble and test equipment before deployment.
- Coordinate machine deliveries, relocations, and removals.
Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on vending machines and smart coolers.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and electronic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace components including:
- Motors
- Compressors
- Wiring
- Switches
- Sensors
- Bill validators
- Coin mechanisms
- Card readers
- Power supplies
- Control boards
- Ensure machines remain clean, operational, and customer-ready.
Field Service & Customer Support
- Respond promptly to service calls from customers and management.
- Diagnose and resolve machine issues efficiently.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
- Communicate machine status and repair updates to management.
Inventory & Documentation
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory logs.
- Track replacement parts and equipment usage.
- Maintain stock of commonly used service parts and tools.
- Submit reports and documentation promptly after service visits.
Transportation & Deliveries
- Operate company or personal vehicles safely while traveling between locations.
- Deliver replacement parts, products, and equipment as needed.
- Maintain delivery and service logs.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Use proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing SIMPLYSNACK Delights LLC.
QualificationsRequired
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use smartphones, tablets, and mobile applications for reporting and communication.
Preferred
- Previous experience repairing vending machines, appliances, refrigeration equipment, or similar machinery.
- Electrical experience including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and component replacement.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems and HVAC principles.
- Experience with Cantaloupe, Nayax, or other vending management systems.
- Experience driving box trucks or commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of smart coolers and micro-market technology.
