Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers and 2-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and creative play
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and early intervention strategies for children with diverse learning needs
- Manage classroom routines including diapering, potty training support, meal times, and nap schedules with patience and professionalism
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior and create a safe learning environment
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special education needs or accommodations
- Maintain detailed lesson plans, progress records, and assessments aligned with early childhood education standards and standardized testing requirements
- Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations and uphold the highest standards of child welfare and safety at all times
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Experience in curriculum development with an emphasis on early intervention, literacy education, and Montessori methods preferred
- Proven classroom management skills to create an organized, nurturing environment conducive to learning
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators effectively
- Ability to implement lesson planning strategies that incorporate math, physical education, and other core subjects for young learners
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management techniques tailored to early childhood settings
- Prior experience working in daycare centers or private schools with preschool experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessments
