Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and disciplined Armed Security Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, managing access points, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your expertise in surveillance, law enforcement procedures, and conflict management will be essential in safeguarding personnel, property, and assets. Duties
- Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems and perform regular visual inspections of the premises to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Manage access control by verifying identities, performing background checks on visitors or contractors, and authorizing entry in accordance with company protocols.
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
- Utilize non-lethal defense tools such as Taser and AED (Automated External Defibrillator), while adhering to safety procedures and legal guidelines.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for security equipment or incident response activities.
- Enforce security policies through conflict management techniques, ensuring a calm resolution to disputes or disturbances.
- Maintain detailed records of patrols, incidents, and access logs to ensure accurate documentation for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields demonstrating strong surveillance skills and familiarity with CCTV systems.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and basic emergency response protocols.
- Ability to perform background checks efficiently and accurately as part of access control procedures.
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
- Skills in conflict management, loss prevention strategies, and the use of security equipment like Tasers or CCTV monitoring tools are highly desirable.
