Role Overview:
The Associate Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the sales team of an assigned territory with logistics and sales activities. The position requires the ability to assimilate and learn a high level of technical information as it relates to surgery and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a background of strong, successful customer service and creating business relationships. Candidates must be self-driven and motivated to build, establish and maintain business relationships. Other responsibilities may include transporting customer inventory and covering cases for sales reps.
Responsibilities:
- Learns and maintains a high level of technical information as it relates to orthopedic surgery and procedures.
- Gains and maintains an acceptable level of knowledge of the Sports Medicine product lines, business objectives, pricing strategies, and proven sales techniques for these products.
- Assists with inventory management between accounts and local warehouse.
- Covers Cases for reps at various selected accounts and provides moderate sales support.
- Provides technical information to surgeons consistent with product user manuals.
- Assists and trains hospital personnel in the proper use and care of product and equipment.
- Completes structured product/sales training assessments.
- Supports the district sales targets by supporting existing accounts as well as developing and executing a plan to develop new business opportunities.
- Meets expected scoring for all classroom and on the job training assessments.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Requires valid driver’s license and vehicle applicable to current residence to facilitate travel requirements of the position .
- 0-2 years of customer service or customer facing experience preferred.

- Support senior sales reps within a defined territory
- Manage sales cycle; prospecting to close and establish new business.
- Maintain client partnerships and educate physicians and clinicians.
- Attend training on new products and technologies.
- Conduct product demonstrations, provide patient support.
- Meet or exceed territory market share objectives.
- Attend trade shows, conferences and other meetings as needed.
- Job may require lifting equipment up to 50lbs at times.
