The Great Hall Banquet & Convention Center is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and service‑driven Banquet Supervisor to join our leadership team. This role is essential to ensuring seamless event execution, exceptional guest experiences, and consistent operational excellence across all group functions.
Position Overview
The Banquet Supervisor oversees all aspects of banquet service and event setup, including function management, staff coordination, and administrative responsibilities. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments to fulfill all client requirements.
You will be responsible for supervising event execution from start to finish—ensuring rooms are set to specification, service teams are prepared and supported, and all event standards are upheld with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise banquet service teams during setup, execution, and teardown
- Coordinate all group‑related activities and ensure accurate communication of event details
- Review and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with precision
- Maintain strong relationships with culinary, operations, and sales departments
- Uphold service standards, guest satisfaction, and safety protocols
- Perform administrative tasks related to scheduling, inventory, and event documentation
- Support hands‑on event setup, including moving equipment, placing décor, and adjusting room layouts
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding leadership role. Candidates must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Bend, squat, kneel, climb, and reach frequently
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Work in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments
Qualifications
- Hospitality Management degree preferred
- Minimum two years of hospitality or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and priorities with professionalism
- Flexible schedule—must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation
This is a salaried position, with pay based on experience.
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
