A Coach at Sage Hill School is responsible for developing and leading their respective program while supporting and upholding the School’s mission. A Coach must motivate, instruct and provide feedback to student athletes in an effort to improve both individual and team performance.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Teach relevant skills, tactics and techniques consistent with Sage Hill School values

Monitor and enhance performance by providing feedback to student athletes

Manage and maintain facilities and equipment related to the program

Follow all NFHS and CIF rules and regulations related to the program

Handle parent concerns related to the program

Attend all pertinent CIF, League and Sage Hill meetings pertaining to Athletics

Other duties as delegated by the Director of Athletics

Experience as a coach preferred

Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong conflict resolution

Excellent collegiality, professionalism and organizational ability

Superior oral and written communication skills

Strong understanding of the culture and goals of independent schools

Ability to work well with teenagers and their parents

Ability to use sound judgment and work independently
