The Recreation Supervisor manages the daily operations of the Splash Pad and Climbing Wall at Lynches River County Park.
Essential Functions:

Supervises staff; develops, implements, and monitors schedules for Splash Pad and Climbing Wall staff; assigns daily duties, communicates job expectations, and enforces staff policies and procedures.

Collects fees, makes change; completes all related documentation; reconciles and secures funds.

Maintains a working knowledge of departmental safety procedures; responds quickly and appropriately to incidents and/or accidents, and declarations of inclement weather; completes all documents and reports as required.

Assists with daily monitoring of facility equipment and chemical testing; maintains accurate and timely records.

Communicates regularly with Splash Pad and Climbing Wall Attendants, Park Ranger Supervisor, Park Rangers, Parks Superintendent, and other Parks and Recreation staff to ensure the Splash Pad and Climbing Wall operate smoothly and efficiently.

Verifies that custodial and housekeeping activities are performed effectively to ensure the attractiveness, cleanliness and safety of the Splash Pad and Climbing Wall complex and surrounding areas.
Non-Essential Functions:

Maintains a general knowledge of Lynches River County Park operations, policies, and amenities; disseminates information to park visitors on park facilities, and local areas of interest.

Acquires basic knowledge of mechanical systems within the Splash Pad and Climbing Wall facilities, and demonstrate ability to react, as necessary, to any and all conditions.

Performs all other related duties as required.
Qualifications: Education and Work Experience

Minimum one year of supervisory experience required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Climbing Wall experience preferred.

Must possess, or be able to pass, First Aid and CPR certification upon hire.

Must possess, or be able to pass, a Certified Pool Operator course within one year of hire.

Must be able to pass annual Climbing Wall training.
-
Evening, weekday and weekend work is required.
