American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 2 years of experience in orthopedic, ENT, and ORIF cases for a hospital OR position averaging 7–13 cases per day.

Hospital-based OR setting with 4 beds averaging 7–13 cases per day
-
Case types include total joints, ORIF, microsurgery, laminectomy, fusion, discectomy, ACDF, percutaneous TAL for club foot, pain injections, and ENT procedures
-
Specialties covered include orthopedics, podiatry, neurosurgery, pain management, and ENT
-
8-hour day shifts with rotating start times of 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
-
On-call required twice per week until cases are complete

Holiday coverage expected for 2 out of 4 major holidays (New Year's Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and July 4th)

May float to a nearby hospital OR and CS department as needed

Charts in Epic; candidates without Epic experience may still be considered with facility approval

Minimum of 2 years of CST experience required

BLS certification required

NBSTSA CST credential preferred

Associate degree in a healthcare-related field or graduation from an accredited surgical technology program required (waived if nationally certified)

Hands-on experience with total joints, ENT, and ORIF cases required

Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from any facility within the health system

2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration

DOB and SSN required for consideration

License required if applicable

First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they meet the required experience

Current or former permanent staff must wait at least 1 full year before returning in a travel capacity

1-week facility and unit orientation provided

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Support staff includes a resource nurse, phlebotomy, and anesthesia/CRNA team

Time off requests require manager approval
