ABOUT US
Balanced Mental Wellness is a growing, nurse practitioner-led psychiatric clinic dedicated to patient-centered care. We take a personalized, integrative approach to mental health and are looking for a Director of Operations to take us to the next level.
THE ROLE
The Director of Operations will lead the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring that staff, systems, and clinical workflows are aligned with the practice’s strategic goals. This role serves as a key partner to the practice owner and helps translate vision into disciplined execution.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage day-to-day operations of the practice, including staff coordination, scheduling, patient flow, vendor coordination, and administrative systems.
· Lead and improve clinical and operational workflows to support excellent patient care, team accountability, and efficient service delivery.
· Execute the strategic vision of the practice by translating goals into operational plans, priorities, timelines, and action steps.
· Align operations plans with the practice budget, staffing model, and financial goals in partnership with the Finance & Business Manager.
· Serve as the primary operating partner to the practice owner, keeping leadership informed, anticipating needs, and resolving operational issues proactively.
· Support hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and team communication.
· Establish and monitor key operational metrics, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 10+ years in operations, with at least 5+ years of experience in leading operations, teams, workflows, or practice administration in a healthcare, medical, or service-based environment. Must have demonstrated readiness for director-level scope.
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience); Master's degree a plus.
· Proven success owning and translating strategic plans and cross-functional scale initiatives.
· Track record of building high-performance organizations with clear, repeatable systems.
· Strong people leadership skills with the ability to build accountability, trust, and consistent follow-through with a small, close-knit team.
· Comfortable setting vision while ensuring day-to-day accountability.
· Comfort with day-to-day use of EHR/practice management systems and general office technology; formal IT background not required.
· Calm, proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced practice setting.
COMPENSATION & GROWTH
Salary range $120k-140k/annually. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, with potential for performance-based bonus as the practice grows.
