Astera Health is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Materials Management Clerk at the Wadena Clinic. This position is a temporary position with an established end date of October 16, 2026. Any extension beyond this date is contingent upon staffing needs and is not guaranteed.
This position is scheduled for 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period, Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. Essential Duties:

Replenishes and rotates products to maintain dated stock supply. Refills Omni Cell and does cycle counts.

Picks and delivers product requests and special-order receipts to appropriate departments, Omnicells or persons, tracking, and filing appropriate records of receipt and delivery.

Consistently reviews stock on hand for expiration status and removes any outdated product from stock areas (warehouse and Omnicells).Disposes of the product in a manner consistent with hospital policy.

Receives, sorts, and records products for inventory control.

Routinely counts stock on hand, verifies, and adjusts inventory records for inventory control.

Inspects shipments for damage, shortages, and defects for product control.

Packages and returns supplies to companies as needed for product returns.

Fulfills employee order requests.

Operates mail machine and prepares outgoing mail.

Utilizes “Body Substance” infection control methods in performance of daily tasks.

Works cooperatively with members of other departments to maintain interdepartmental relationships.

Performs Oracle data input.

Act as backup for courier service to rural clinics, Hospital Departments, and other locations as needed. This includes stops at the bank, post office, Rehab, Fair Oaks Lodge, and other areas around town.

Physical Requirements:
Heavy Duty: exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, or 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects, including the human body (based on U.S. Department of Labor data). Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. The following physical activities are required to perform the job:
Occasionally (up to 33% of work time): Standing, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching, smelling, color vision.
Frequently (34-66% of work time): Walking, carrying, stooping, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, near acuity vision.
